Groundhog Day in October?

Wait! I thought we celebrated Groundhog Day in February?! But low and behold, a groundhog has been sunny himself on our deck for the past two months. Well, at least we think he's a groundhog. Others have suggested a hedgehog, beaver, or gigantic chipmunk! But, we're pretty sure he's a groundhog. He's no Punxsutawney Phil, but he's got spunk, eating all of the wilting flowers and lounging under the grill. So, since he's decided to stick around we've decided he needs a name, an appropriate name. The verdict is Moorestown Maury. He's living in Moorestown, and well, he just looks like a Muary. We've discovered he lives under our deck steps, and it seems like he has set up shop for the winter. So, it may not be February, but Moorestown Maury is here to say, and hey, maybe in February he'll emerge from under our deck steps and tell us--just the Coppola family--if spring is here or winter is sticking around for another six weeks.
